TSY when performing the individual asanas, the focus is rather on the individual well-being and the "current" mood of the individual. This determines how far each person goes into the practice, how long they stay in it, and at what pace they release the asana. The entire "system" of the practitioner (including the nervous system) experiences an unrestricted "ability to act". The "in the now" and "today" is emphasized.
The subcortical brain structures are also reached through the conscious integration of the body. The new experiences of the ability to act and self-determination in the trauma-sensitive yoga practice ensure new neural connections and enable the nervous system to make new experiences by the own decision is interpreted as positive - with every asana and every TSY practice anew. The course of birth benefits from this to the same extent, since the "autonomous nervous system" increasingly controls the progressing birth process.
Trauma-sensitive yoga also supports self-regulation and is therefore particularly suitable for people with post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD), fears, depression, over-excitement, etc.
This yoga practice can also be done while seated or just standing.
